Carpenter Farms specializes in developing your personal “Lifetime Ranch Horse.” Beginning with top bloodlines, they are developed in a training program with the best imprinting, ground and saddle work available. We develop a horse that will do its job, generally and specifically, and become a lifetime companion. Our ranch horses are proficient in all areas including cows, trails and obstacles, with additional emphasis on ranch disciplines. They are suitable for everyday enjoyment and work on the farm or ranch along with further development to the top levels of performance horse competition.

Lifetime Trail Horses

Carpenter Farms excels in development of your personal “Lifetime Trail Horse.” We begin with good bloodlines and good minds, add our specific imprinting, ground and saddle training, desensitizing to create a trail horse or field trial horse that will be a reliable lifetime companion. Our trail horses begin with a mix of ranch and trail skills and offer versatility that is at the highest level. We develop multiple breeds for these purposes.

Prospects

We specialize in breeding and developing barrel, cutting, race and reining prospects for top level competition, recreational rodeo and ranch work. Take a look at our mares, stallions and news pages to learn more about our exceptional program.

Training

Matt Williams guides our training program and specializes in giving each prospect a perfect start and, as appropriate, a solid reining foundation. From there an exceptional companion can be developed. Matt is accredited and certified by master trainers Josh and John Lyons, proficient as a trainer and clinician.

Clinics

Carpenter Farms from time-to-time hosts clinics in various disciplines hosted by our own Matt Williams and other exceptional clinicians including trainers our trainers Matt and Elin Pitts [Ken McNabb and Lyons Legacy Certified and Accredited], master trainer David Carter and Pat Parelli [Natchez, MS location]. Our network of trainers and clinicians is unmatched. Clinics are planned upon request.

We have a variety of options to choose from including one, three or five-day sessions . Most clinics are organized as group sessions and are available for all skill levels. However, we will structure private and semi-private sessions if that better suits your needs. Our most popular clinics are cowboy skills, performance riding skills, training skills (riding and groundwork) as well as colt-starting skills.
